Founded in the 1800's by
Satchell & Co until taken over by the King family. 1906 saw a merger
with GH Barnes and King and Barnes was formed. The company was taken over by Hall & Woodhouse in 2000. The original brewery was demolished for housing. Bill King started his own brewery again in 2001 under the name WJ King & co. The Head brewer of King and Barns also left and started up Hepworth brewery. |
